The forest does most of the talking here. This single storey home sits low among the trees of Elaleni Coastal Forest Estate, its deep dark roof and timber slatted screens built to disappear into the canopy rather than fight it, with climbing greenery already working its way up the walls.

The layout wraps around a central courtyard pool, so the lounge, dining and main bedroom all open onto water and lawn rather than each other. A covered pool patio and a stone feature wall anchor an outdoor entertaining space at one end of the house, sheltered enough to use through most of the year, with an outdoor shower tucked nearby for the walk back in from the garden.

Four bedrooms, each with its own en-suite, are arranged for privacy rather than proximity — the main bedroom has a full walk-in closet and en-suite, while the guest room and two further bedrooms each get their own bathroom, so nobody's queuing in the morning. A scullery sits behind the kitchen to keep the working mess out of sight, and a garage handles the practical side of arrival.

What sets this one apart is what's above it — external stairs lead up to a private viewing deck, lifted clear of the treeline for a vantage point the single storey footprint below doesn't give away. It's the kind of space you'd use once and then use constantly.

This is a single storey home for sale on a generous forest-side erf in Elaleni Coastal Forest Estate, built for a household that wants space between its rooms and its own patch of green to disappear into.
